Good Afternoon Franklin Community. Due to the continued snow storm activities and predicted high winds for tonight, Franklin CUSD #1 schools will remain closed Thursday February 3rd. We will be monitoring the weather and progress of roads in our district being cleared in hopes of resuming classes on Friday. We will update you as soon as we can. Stay safe.

Due to the severe weather moving into our area tonight and throughout the day Wednesday February 2nd , Franklin CUSD #1 schools will not be in session. This will be a traditional snow day.
All events at our schools will be cancelled tomorrow.
Tonight’s 7th grade vball match will start at 5:30 in hopes to get everyone home before weather starts. We will play a 20 minute running clock at 5:00 for the C game. 8th grade game will follow 7th, as usual. Thanks!

Good morning Franklin community. I am sure, by now, that you have heard about the potential storm that might be heading our way. I wanted to reassure you that we are monitoring this storm system and will be keeping you updated as the day progresses. Many of the weather models have been changing frequently, with the majority of reports saying the freezing rain and ice should arrive after 9 pm this evening. We hope that the forecast holds true and we can get the school day and evening activities in before the weather breaks. As always, the safety of our students and staff comes first and we will be making our decisions base on that safety issue. If any information comes to us that would cause any changes, I will get that information out to you as soon as possible. Stay safe.

Football players: there is an upcoming pretzel football high school parent meeting at 5 pm on 2/2 at NB HS cafeteria.
Summer schedules, player expectations and April football fundraiser will be discussed.
Update: A fiber optic line has been cut which has disrupted our internet and phone services today across the school district. The provider is working to restore service as soon as possible.

Due to a shortage of staff and substitutes we must pause PreK instruction for 1 week, beginning Monday, January 24th thru Friday, January 28th. We hope to resume on Monday the 31st. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
The CUSD #1 Board meeting scheduled for 6:30 pm on Wednesday January 26th has been pushed back to a start time of 7:30 pm. This is due to the 7th Grade Boys basketball Regional Tournament schedule.
