The regularly scheduled board meeting for February 26th has been moved to February 27th at 6:30pm.
PK Screening is set for Wednesday, March 18th. If your child will be 3 by September 1st they are welcome to attend the screening. Please call the office at 675-2334 to make an appointment.

Franklin Elementary received $5,000 from the Jacksonville Children’s Foundation last week. Thanks to Amanda Streit and Mary Henry for writing the grant for some additional playground items. With these funds we will be purchasing a set of swings, picnic tables and a trash can for the new playground!
SADD will be having their trivia night fundraiser March 21. Contact Abby Crow if you have donation items for the silent auction. Team forms can be picked up at the high school office or you can contact Abby Crow to reserve a table.
Update on Franklin Activities:
The boys Varsity Basketball game tonight , at Waverly is on. The Junior Varsity contest will begin at 6:15 pm.
This is the South County Homecoming game. The Homecoming Court will be announced during halftime of the Junior Varsity Game.
The Homecoming Dance is on for tomorrow night at Franklin High School. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Coronation will be at 7 pm. The Dance will end at 10pm.

The Franklin school district is asking parents to participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey is available until February 14, 2020 and we need a minimum of 20% of our parents to complete the survey for it to be included on the Illinois school report card. This survey generates valuable data that districts can use to guide their ongoing efforts to improve schools and to offer students an excellent education.
