Kimby Shafer
I was a happy soul. I lived; I enjoyed
friendships.
My friends were my cohorts in crime,
but we always had a good laugh.
We never did anything so awfully
bad, besides tee peeing a certain house
and maybe we did get a little carried
away in our escapades.
I remember Mrs. Tucker, the drive-by-fruiting,
the Best Buy hoax.
(not to mention bowling shoes)
Maybe we argued and had a few tempests,
but we also enjoyed some of the
sweetest days.
I have passed on and so maybe have
my friends
but friendships still continue that
are just as good as mine.
