(My Grandfather)
I can see a man who grew up in Kentucky,
Who packed his bags to go off to
war.
Who fought for his country,
and had pride and joy throughout
his eyes.
When he was back home he found a
pretty lady and they later got married.
He settled down and had a kids,
and together they had a happy life
as farmers.
He wanted the best for all he had.
His wife and daughter were as happy
as ever and,
enjoyed the town they lived in.
He wanted the best for his farm
and friends,
he did it all and all he did was
all he ever wanted,
which made him a joyful man.
