The Haunted School

• So basically this book is about Tommy Frazer’s dad just got married. Now Tommy go a new mom, and he’s going to a new school in a new town. The new school-Bell Valley Middle School. At first Tommy doesn’t hate his new school. But its hard making friends, with him being a new kid and all. The new school is so big, it is very easy to get lost, and there is a lot of new classes he is in and he keeps getting lost. Tommy gets lost during one of the school dances and he disappears into a new world, a world of gray. He realizes that the kids that are suck in this world are the ones that vanished way back in the 1950’s. He and a boy named Derek have some how some way find a way out of this world. My favorite part of the book is when they escape out of the gray world. I would recommend this book to a 5 th or 6 th grader; it would most likely spook them out. I learned from this book how hard it is to fit into a new school, and kids shouldn’t judge each other, just because they don’t know them. Tommy is my favorite character because he is a brave kid that’s in a big school and not know any one.
