BROADCASTING I

PURPOSE	Teach Broadcasting I students how to use PowerPoint to make a slide presentation which will eventually be recorded to videotape and used as an introduction to a video recording.
OBJECTIVES	Instruct students on fundamental use of PowerPoint. 1. How to start a basic slide 2. How to format background 3. Insert text box 4. Insert pictures 5. Use work art 6. Change color for word art and text 7. Custom animation 8. Slide transition 9. Set timings 10.View show 11.Save file to server
ACTIVITIES	Students will use computers and PowerPoint. Students will explore the operations of PowerPoint through guided instruction by teacher. After 11 objectives have been covered, students will have the opportunity to create a 6 slide show presentation about themselves. Students will be able to ask questions and use software help.
TIME FACTOR	This lesson will use all 80 minutes of the available class time. Students will not finish the 6-slide assignment. This will carry over for at least 2 more class times.
ASSESMENT	Student will be graded using an established rubrics, which they received at the beginning of class time.
