BROADCASTING I

 

PURPOSE

Teach Broadcasting I students how to record PowerPoint presentation to VCR tape.

OBJECTIVE

Instruct students on the steps necessary to record PowerPoint from computer to VCR tape.

  1. Open PowerPoint presentation
  2. Turn on VCR
  3. Put in tape – set the channel F-1
  4. Turn on TV and set channel 3.
  5. VCR push PLAY – PAUSE – RECORD
  6. Start the PowerPoint show and immediately push PLAY on VCR

At the end of PowerPoint – push STOP on VCR

ACTIVITIES

Students will use computer, VCR, PowerPoint and digital to analog converter.  Students will record their PowerPoint presentation, after teacher has covered the steps.  Students will be hands on during this activity and will be able to ask questions.

TIME FACTOR

This lesson does not take an entire 80 minutes per student, but all of the class time will be used so that each student has a turn to record the program. 

ASSESMENT

The recorded tape will be graded based on rubrics, which the students received at the beginning of class time.
