  • It may need to be altered slightly
  • The pace may need to pick up or slow down
  • The lesson may need to be shortened or lengthened
  • It may need to be abandoned altogether
4
Instructional Activity not working
  • Recognize when some students are not understanding what you are teaching
  • A change does not mean failure it is an opportunity to reach out and grow

  • Team to State
  • Fire/Tornado Drill
  • Death of a student

Adjust lessons when necessary
  • Your still discussing the Pythagorean theorem

  • You go back and review

Make a Commitment to the Learning of all Students
  • Determine how to reach each student
  • Adapt to your surroundings
  • Be flexible in teaching methods
  • View each situation through the student’s eyes
  • NEVER GIVE UP ON A STUDENT!
