Alexander Grade School is proud to have teachers, students, and other staff members who work to make this school one of the best in Illinois. Alexander is the proud recipient of a Year 2000 Bright A+ Award. This means the students at AGS scored in the top 5% on the ISAT test.
To continue this excellence, we challenge our students to work hard and to have fun while learning. We believe that our students should get an adequate amount of sleep at night, and they should begin each day with a good breakfast.
Parents are an important part of education, and we encourage our parents to discuss daily school events to show that they value educational activities.
We strongly believe that all parents should spend time at home reading to their children and listening to them read.
